New Members
The objective of VBC’s New Members ministry is to share the principles and foundation on which this church and ministry is built. Additionally it provides direction and support to acclimate our new members to the “Victory Family.” Each person will walk away with the knowledge and understanding of the vision God has provided through our senior pastor Bishop Milton M. White Sr., our participation in the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, and Victory’s purpose.
It is also the intent of the ministry to teach and equip our new members with the wisdom and desire to serve. This is fulfilled by providing a series of eleven classes which cover the disciplines of Christian life.
These classes are entitled:
- Orientation about VBC as a Church Home
- Salvation and the Security of the Believer
- The Holy Spirit I: who He is
- The Holy Spirit II: the Fruit/Gifts He Gives
- The Importance of Faith
- The Importance of Prayer
- Tithes & Offering
- Praise & Worship
- Evangelism & Discipleship
- Full Gospel
Classes are offered every other month on two Saturdays and once a quarter over the mid-week evenings. There are a series of eleven lessons covered during the two Saturday or three mid-week classes.
Upon completion of New Members Orientation classes, members are then eligible and encouraged to serve in any ministry of their choice. All are welcome who are sent by divine appointment to the house of Victory.
