| Observation: |
Jesus left us an example to follow as we face temptations of our crafty enemy. He experienced human limitations, he hungered, he got sleepy, got weary, felt loneliness and experience temptation as you and I do. Because he experienced these things he has understanding, is merciful, faithful and compassion toward us. |
| Application: |
We must recognize and remind ourselves that because Jesus overcame the temptations of the world so can we. Although he was fully God he was fully man and overcame by the Word. He countered every temptation with Scripture (Luke 4:1-13). We must do the same. |
| Prayer: |
Father thank you for the company of the Holy Spirit who reminds me that I have the ability to overcome and brings to my remembrance the Scripture stored in my mind and heart sufficient to defeat the blows of the devil. |
